Hello again everyone, I missed posting yesterday, but I am here today…look at me being a much better blogger..lol. I have had the last 5 days off work, but today it will be back to the grind. I work everyday from 3-11 at the hotel here. I have gotten all my Christmas decorations down and packed away again. I was glad to have that done. I love the lights and all the pretty decorations, but after a few weeks, it seems like it is in the way and I am ready for a fresh clean room again with little clutter.
I am really trying hard to be good on my new way of eating, but when there is left over christmas pies and cookies and candys, it is really hard! But I have cleaned it all out of the house now…no I didnt eat it out..haha….but it is gone now and I hope it will be easier to eat right with good food in the house again.
yesterday breakfast:
oatmeal with raisins
coffee
Lunch:
1/2 of a big and tasty burger from mcdonalds
about 10 french fries
diet coke
Dinner:
Oatmeal again..it just sounded good
toast
Today I had coffee for breakfast and 1/2 a bagel with cream cheese
Lunch:
Chinese food…mostly chicken and veggies
Is everyone ready for a new year? I know I am! I pray each of you have a blessed new year!
Big hugs, Grammy Laurie

Today is the first day of the rest of my life and my decision to get healthy and eat right is my goal.
Breakfast:
2 eggs scrambled with low fat cheese
madarine orange and peach slices
coffee
Lunch:
mandarine oranges and peaches
Dinner:
Homemade Beef Stew
2 buscuits
Now to exercise…
I went to the peddlers mall and walked around there for an hour today. What fun and I powered walked thru part of it off and on to rev my metabolism a bit more…a hint I read about. If you walk slow then rev it up to a power walk then slow down and continue this way you will get more out of your walk and loose weight quicker.

Good afternoon dear friends and fellow bloggers! I am so excited for Christmas now because I finally got all the shopping done and the presents wrapped, and even got all the stockings stuffed and by the chimney with care…lol! I got the food all bought and baking all done. And now, it is time to rest. I am so looking forward to seeing my little grandbabies open their gifts…I am just giddy. I love seeing little ones eyes light up when they see something new and shiny!
I was reading another journal and came across a really funny excerpt that she had found herself and thought I would post it here for all of you.
9 Words…
1.) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine
4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!
5.) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)
6.) That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you’re welcome.
8.) Whatever: Is a women’s way of saying F@!K OFF or leave me alone or suit yourself.
9.) Don’t worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to #3.
I am giving this advice to men you know, to warn them about arguments they can avoid if they hear any of those words and to all the women to give them a good laugh, cause they know it’s true!
Well that is it for now…have a really great day!

Ok, I wanted to share with you a problem we have been having with my grandson Jacob. He will be 3 in February, and only says about 20 words…and those randomly and on and off. He adds only about a word a week to his vocabulary and isnt putting words together yet. He also will only eat a dozen different foods. He is very smart about things and plays like a normal 2 year old does. He loves to watch thomas the train and plays with his trains all the time lining them up in straight lines. He doesnt like any other “things” around his play area when he is playing with them. He will totally clear off the coffee table when he plays with them. He also loves his cars and does the same thing with them. He has lots and lots of other toys that he will play with randomly but mostly likes to play with his trains. He runs and wrestles and plays with his mom all the time, he loves throwing a baseball around and wil try to use the bat and hit the ball when it is thrown to him. He loves to run outside and slide and will try to ride his bike. but usually ends up pulling it behind himself. He has no wierd ticks or anything like that. He babbles all the time and will point and mimick what he sees. He will point and say appropriate words for what he can say…like ball or car and he will say heave…pull when he sees thomas pulling another train to safety. He says no very well and understand how to use it…lol. He will say apple when he sees an apple or chip when he sees a chip. he pulls us up and says up…and will drag us by our fingers to what he wants. He mimicks writing his name and will even underline it when he is done. He can say the alphabet from m-z and will count things to 10 but doesnt say the real numbers..but he makes the same noise for each number.
The list of foods he will eat are:
waffles, french toast sticks, bagel with cream cheese, dry fruit loops, jelly sandwich, sun chips, doritos, crackers, pizza, chicken nuggets, french fries, banana and apple slices and drinks the V8 fruit and vegtable juice. He wont drink milk.
We have tried over and over introducing different foods and food varieties but he refuses them and will even look like he is going to be sick. He is finally tolerating us eating around him now which is a big improvement, before he get really upset when any food would be close to him.
So there it is. Our little problem Is this all normal for a 2-3 year old and he will just grow out of it or is this something else? He is seeing a speach therapist and an occupational therapist for the last 4 months, and he has made some progress, but the other day the ot suggested he may have signs of autism. I dont see it as that, but maybe I have the wrong perception of autism.
Has anyone out there gone through the same thing with a toddler or have any help you could offer to us to help with his eating or his speech? We would appreciate any help we could get! Thanks so much!
